The Global Technology and Infrastructure (GTI) team recruits an IT&DATA Engineer (Network), based in Warsaw POLAND.

Global Technology and Infrastructure is a global and agile team whose main job is to manage and secure the underlying Danone infrastructure & technologies, powering the Danone IT & Data platforms and workspaces.

Our main responsibilities are:

• Enable Danone to operate through the delivery of always on, on demand and dynamic infrastructure and technologies
• Drive, build and operate a Future Proof Technology backbone to support new business models​ creation, journeys & experiences transformation​, Data-enabled company​ activation and further process automation & integration
• Contribute to the development of our IT&Data organization through innovation and agility mindset & actions

As a Network Engineer at Danone, you will be part of a global, dynamic, and agile team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure supporting all Danone business operations. You will contribute to the evolution of our connectivity landscape, drive modernization initiatives, and support mission‑critical services across factories, offices, R&D, and cloud environments.

You understand customers' needs and bring to life the product’s vision. You autonomously collaborate within your team / squad to develop a tangible product.​

This position reports to Product Owner.

Network Engineer:

• Estimates, plans, manages, reports progress and completes all his/her own tasks in an autonomous manner​
• Clarifies any of the requirements by interacting with the ecosystem (final users, customers, stakeholders, Product Owners, Managers)​
• Provide L2/L3 network support in collaboration with IT&DATA teams
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal business impact and adherence to strict SLA requirements.
• Clarify requirements, and ensure transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies
• Contribute to cross‑functional squads delivering network‑related product increments
• Implement and maintain enterprise network solutions, ensuring alignment with Danone’s architecture standards (Cisco Catalyst, ISE, Wireless Controllers, Firewalls, DHCP, NPS).
• Work closely with Product Owners, internal L3 engineering teams, NOC, local IT, and external Managed Service Providers
• Takes ownership for the quality of the tasks that he/she produces – according to the Definition of Done* set at organization / team level​
• He/she engages and communicates with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met​
• He/she contributes to the functional expertise as part of the Chapter

We expect you to have: 

• Desired: Cisco CCNA/CCNP
• At least Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent work experience
• Would be a Plus: Azure Administrator certification (AZ-700) is a plus
• At least 5 years of experience in the technology related field.
  
  • Expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies, Cisco wireless technologies, CISCO ISE solution, CISCO DNA/Catalyst Center, WiFi large enterprise wireless networks
  • Experience working with network security devices (firewall, proxy, VPN gateway), managing external partners and vendors, working with network monitoring tools, utilizing packet capture software like Wireshark to isolate complex network issues, working in an Agile environment, working with Automation tools
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
• Strong documentation skills.
• Fluency in English

• Specific Knowledge/Abilities
  • WiFi Desired Knowledge/Skills: Configure, monitor, troubleshoot and support large enterprise wireless networks (over 100 APs per site), WLAN RF principles, IEEE 802.11, authentications, encryption methods, APs deployment methods, mobility groups, SSIDs anchoring, roaming, RRM and custom RF Profiles according the environment.
  • Good knowledge of MS DHCP/NPS distributed design, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • As an advantage, good knowledge in WAN, Network Security technologies and experienced with systems like PRTG Network Monitor, Zabbix, Ansible, Ekahau
  • Routing: EIGRP, BGP, Static Routing and InterVLANs Routing.
  • Layer 2 Switching: VLANs, STP, PVST, RSTP, MST and EtherChannels.
  • Other Protocols and Technologies: VPNs (IPSecs), GRE Tunnels, MPLS, HSRP, ACLs, TACACs, Cisco ISE, NPS, Active Directory, DNS, Route Maps, Prefix Lists, Distribution Lists, SNMP, DHCP, IPV6, Multicast, QoS and VoIP.
  • Azure Cloud Services: Express Routes, VPN Gateway, Load Balancer, NSG
  • Automation tools: PHP, Ansible, Terraform
