We have an opening for a Logistics Supervisor, Nights based in Dallas, TX beverage manufacturing facility. 

 

The Supervisor of Logistics. Nights is responsible to supervise, coordinate and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff members. The successful candidate must be able to provide recommendations for improvements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. They will be accountable that the staff is performing to standard and has to ensure that progress is made to achieve the business objectives.\

 

This role is on a 2,2,3 schedule, 12 hour shift with rotating weekends off.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all warehouse associates and work closely with associate in Production, Maintenance, QA and Human Resources
  • Trains, coaches, mentors, and provides feedback/recognition to associates
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment for all associates and visitors. Ensures all safety rules are followed
  • Communicates Standard Operating Procedures and plant rules to all team members and ensures that they are implemented and strictly adhere to
  • Monitors all loads for accuracy and correct shipping placement on outside carriers
  • Responsible for pallet inventory in and out of the plant
  • Responsible for maintaining the loading and releasing of all finished goods to our customers on time and in an orderly fashion
  • Work with Q.A. Department to insure that only product that has cleared “HOLD” will be shipped to our customers
  • Assist Operations Team in verifying accurate production counts and code dates on all manufacturing items
  • Conducts regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Analysis of warehouse practices to develop new procedures to reduce expense, improve inventory accuracy, efficiency and service
  • Monitor orders/inventory to prevent product shortages and develop processes to eliminate potential shortages
  • Documents notable items, both positive and negative, and places in personnel file
  • Maintains lines of communication between associates and management
  • Supports and deploys all plant initiatives such as: MOS (management operating system), TPM (total productive maintenance), Maintenance Excellence, SQF (safe quality foods), etc.

About you

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or three years of equivalent education experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in warehouse required
  • Three to five years logistics warehouse experience is required
  • WMS experience is required in transportation and warehouse management modules
  • Working knowledge of Demand Planning, Supply Chain, transportation & Inventory Processes.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 environment as business needs dictate.
