The Maintenance Planning Junior Manager leads the maintenance planning program and oversees the budget, including both OPEX and CAPEX. This role includes supervising the spare parts and chemicals warehouses to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective maintenance practices.

About you

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and facilities.

  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance activities are effectively executed to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

  • Oversee the maintenance budget, including operational expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX).

  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Manage the spare parts and chemicals warehouses, ensuring optimal inventory levels, proper storage, and timely procurement of necessary materials.

  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance planners, technicians, and warehouse staff. Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and procurement, to ensure maintenance activities align with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address maintenance needs and priorities.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

  • Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, budget performance, and inventory status.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving maintenance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in planning (preferably in FMCG).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
