About the job

Mission: As Manager Category Revenue Growth Management (RGM), you will be a part of the RGM team with responsibility for the development, implementation and execution of the overall pricing and promotion strategy within Danone Canada for the Yogurt category. Your main objective will be to provide comprehensive analysis, insights, and recommendations for elements related to RGM’s strategic pricing pillar to maximize top & bottom-line results.

This role also includes the creation and implementation of strategic frameworks, governance routines, and analytic tools that will enable you to deliver actionable recommendations to improve promotion investment Return on Investment (ROI) and Trade Terms spend with specific customer teams. In this high-impact role, you will be working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, particularly, the sales team.

 

More specifically:

  • Employ pricing instruments (e.g. simulator) to support the development of our Yogurt category, portfolio, and pricing strategy.
  • Support consumer pricing research and market price information.
  • Work, in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, to identify occasions-channels-pack opportunities, price-pack-opportunities and trade optimization and prioritization across core brands and innovation based on insight and analysis.
  • Work and influence in a cross-functional environment to ensure RGM strategies are aligned with those of Danone Canada.
  • Ensures seamless coordination on strategy roll out across functions (Sales Strategy, Sales Finance, Marketing & Operations)
  • Partner with cross functional topline colleagues to ensure OBPPC/RGM vision and strategy are embedded and come to life in annual and forward-looking category plans.
  • Responsible for the development of score-carding to facilitate trade management & governance through defined and aligned KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Building the foundation for multi-year revenue rate plan delivery
  • Building systems to support and analyze promotional Return on Investment (ROI) – defined event level ROI and re-planning with customer business teams
  • Sets everyday price architecture across categories and channels aligned to brand price strategy guardrails
  • Plan, support, and analyze promotional spend, ROIs and portfolio mix in collaboration with customer business teams through regular workshops
  • Support organizational processes and routines cross-functionally such as, the trade board governance routine, subledger, one-pager process and QTR.
  • Works with sales teams to apply and execute trade fund guidance, strategic pricing, annual price increases and UMAP changes
  • Ensure maximum utilization of our trade promotion management system (KANTAR/XTEL)

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $110,000.00 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.

About you

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finances, or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience, preferably spent in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to distil information and uncover insights from a variety of sources.
  • Strong finance and business acumen, as you will be responsible for all lines of the P&L (Profit & Loss)
  • Experience working with POS (Points of Sale), panel, shopper and TPO (Trade Promotion Optimization) tools (AC Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby, etc.)
  • Leadership – demonstrating significant initiative & tenacity
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills – ability to drive influence data focused conversations and decision-making
  • Teamwork – be able to work with transverse teams
