About the job

The Inventory Operations Analyst will perform complex analysis using SAP, co-manufacturers’ reports and supplier documents to monitor inbounds, outbounds, production usage and yields, loss allowances, and raw material inventory. The Analyst will be performing timely financial adjustments, identifying inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and streamlining processes to improve operational efficiency.  This will be done through use of SAP/office systems and integration of automation and AI tools. The Inventory Operations Analyst will work closely with co-manufacturers to understand their processes and ensure compliance with contractual agreements. Cross-functional collaboration will be key by partnering with various departments such as Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Finance to support Danone’s mission and values. This role is based out of our Broomfield, CO office!

 

 

Inventory Management and Analysis

  • Monitors SAP to assure accurate & prompt posting of production receipts, resupply receipts, and outbound shipments within established time limits.
  • Complete monthly Finished Goods, Raw Materials & Packaging inventory reconciliations, ensuring they are exact, properly documented, and submitted on time.
  • Research and document instances in which a credit or financial reimbursement is due to Danone.
  • Work with the CoManufacturer to mitigate loss and provide disposition.
  • Utilize available emerging technologies to provide real-time data on inventory levels, which help businesses improve inventory accuracy and reduce the risk of stockouts or overstocking. Absolute accuracy of inventory is the basis for meaningful analysis that can be actioned on.
    • Complete attainment analysis to track Purchase Order requests versus actual production.
    • Perform Raw Material obsolescence and expiration risk analysis.
    • Liaise between Danone Internal Control and the CoManufacturer during annual audits of CoManufacturer’s processes, assuring compliance with requirements, and successful implementation of CoManufacturer Action Plans.

 

Process Improvement:

    • An aptitude for implementation of the latest automation processes.
    • Improve existing metrics, methods, and reports to track Co-Manufacturer performance.
    • Proactively identify Continuous Improvement opportunities and recommend action items.
    • Ability to independently develop training materials and SOPs for Process Improvement that exemplify Best Practices.
    • Work with external departments and production facilities to improve and document Ways of Working.

 

 

Communication:

    • Provide best-in-class communication internally and externally by anticipating inquiries and establishing follow-up activities, staying current with outstanding questions, project timelines, and cross-functional activity.
    • Interact with plant management/personnel to ensure absolute accuracy of inventory.
    • Proactively identify material supply issues and communicate them to the appropriate party. Work cooperatively with the Co-manufacturer and Material Planning to resolve.
    • Develop cross-functional educational materials to ensure understanding of key activities, interactions, and processes, by internal stakeholders in Operations/Supply Chain.
    • Maintain open dialogue with cross-functional peers to coordinate activities and improve performance and productivity.
    • Represent the team in meetings. Be prepared with up-to-date analysis materials for presentation, discussion, and if necessary, be prepared to recommend solutions, implementation, and tracking results. Support Inventory Control Manager by completing tasks as assigned, modeling leadership behavior, and being a point of contact for out of office.

 

The base compensation range for this position is $58,000-86,000 commensurate with experience. About you

Minimum Job Specifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Experience with Power BI preferred.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, thorough reporting of findings, developing and implementing corrective action.
• Ability to be self-directed with little supervision
• Possess superior quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills and applying to developing models which enhance operational transparency and drive results.
• Ability to influence decisions and activity within the group and cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Improvement mindset, skills, and implementation.
• Strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships
 
Education and Experience
• 4-year college degree in Operations/Supply Chain/Business preferred. 
• 2-4 years’ experience in Inventory Control, ERP systems, process automation.
• 2-4 years’ experience in food & beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
