We have an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician based in City of Industry, CA! This is a Quality Lab Tech position who will monitor, test, record, and react on data pertaining to products/production processes/quality systems to ensure highest standards of quality and food safety are met or exceeded and products produced are in compliance with federal, state, and company specifications. 

 

Graveyard Shift: 10PM- 6:30AM. Days off may vary.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Inspects and selects product at different stages of production to be tested
  • Analyzes incoming ingredients and ensures compliance to specifications
  • Performs Quality Team Audits
  • Help maintain lab, lab equipment and supplies in compliance with HACCP, FQP, GMP and Safety
  • SOP
  • Records and evaluates test data from samples
  • Prepares necessary medias and reagents needed for laboratory functioning
  • Acts as facilitator/coach in areas of safety and quality
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. and push a sample cart up to 350 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:

Education and Experience:                

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Bio-Technology, Food Science, or comparable program.  (Or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 2 or more years related Quality Assurance experience; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo
  • Knowledge of uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions
