About the job

As a Quality & Food Safety Manager for the packaging department at Danone, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with Danone’s Q&FS standards on the shop floor and in work processes, with a specific focus on packaging. You contribute to the continuous improvement of Q&FS for our products and the quality KPIs of our factory. Additionally, you coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring that we meet the Q&FS objectives of our end customers and consumers.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Coordinating internal and external audits, including conducting our own audits when necessary.
  • Performing HACCP reviews for relevant sections (Pack, glass breakage), including risk analysis, validating flowcharts, and creating training plans.
  • Guiding RCA (root cause analysis) for incidents, developing action plans, and overseeing their execution.
  • Investigating causes of recurring incidents, analyzing trends, and recommending actions.
  • Collaborating with the MQFSIN to make decisions regarding non-conforming end products.
  • Monitoring and leading Q&FS-related projects, including organizing relevant steering meetings.
  • Tracking packaging complaints and implementing action plans, while also overseeing the quality officer for packaging.
  • Managing the procedure for glass breakage.

About you

  • Education level: Scientific background with a strong interest in nutrition and quality, preferably Industrial Engineer/Bioengineer specializing in biochemistry/nutrition.
  • Language skills: Proficient in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Other functional knowledge: Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, etc.), experience with pivot tables and VBA in Excel is a plus.
  • Desired experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality department in a production environment or in a production department in the food industry or chemistry. Knowledge of microbiology, HACCP, quality systems PDCA, and machinery expertise in a food-producing environment are advantageous.
