Utility Operator - Night Shift

About the job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Utility Operator - Night Shift based in DuBois, PA.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the packaging line runs efficiently by monitoring equipment, trouble shooting minor mechanical issues, supporting the operation in multiple areas and by reporting downtime issues.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Operate and constantly monitor case packing equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly; alerting maintenance and/or management of any mechanical and/or operational issues
  • Stock equipment with corrugate
  • Monitor and operate the palletizing equipment and replace consumable palletizer materials as required
  • Maintain the downstream area and all equipment in a clean and sanitary manner to include responsible interior and exterior cleaning of equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance as needed
  • Accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and logs as required
  • Support the plant’s efforts of DAMAWAY (Danone’s system of continuous improvements)
  • Operate forklift to complete product put away into cooler
  • Accurately enter/program packaging with correct information
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

About you

Education and Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 6 months manufacturing or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Successful performance of this job requires an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily.  The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
  • Experience in food manufacturing company preferred
  • Experience in the area of operations in food manufacturing company to include working directly with kosher and organic highly preferred
  • Computer experience and knowledge of SAP preferred
