The Danone Advanced Technology Team is one of the global Research and Innovation Teams of Danone. Its mission is to DELIVER BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGIES TO CREATE VALUE, BENEFITING PEOPLE AND PLANET!

Part of advanced technology, the Advanced Circular and Innovation Packaging team team is located in Evian and Paris Saclay (in France).

As JUNIOR PACKAGING MANAGER,

You will participate in the development of a strategic and game-changing packaging development for Danone.

Your role is to support part of these packaging developments, form concept validation, till scale-up, while ensuring their superiority (user, brand, packaging-product compatibility & food safety).

Your work will be cross functional (internal & external teams). Objective is to ensure the proper execution of the projects, integrating 360° design challenges into your packaging development, materializing it into a robust risk analysis, planning & deliverables.

Curious, proactive, open & team player, you will support when needed other projects from the team.

Your main responsibilities are:

• To support disruptive paper-based packaging development from proof-of-concept to proof of performance & deliver related packaging specifications.
• To lead performance evaluation in laboratory, pilot & pre-industrial stages.
• To lead Packaging-Product evaluation to ensure its superiority.
• To support consumer research (both qualitative & quantitative) to evaluate packaging superiority for brands & consumers.
• To assess regulatory & food safety of this packaging with the support of the right functions.
• To deliver these actions within the agreed quality/cost/timing frame.
• To ensure an accurate & concise project reporting, driving decision making.
• To support when needed other packaging development projects

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered. 

Your profile:

• Junior, <2 years of experience
• Advanced degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering
• Good knowledge of the main packaging transformation technologies
• Proactive, with solution and business-oriented mindset, with capacity to anticipate risks.
• Agility and curiosity with strong drive for user centric innovation
• Rigorous & structured, with ability to meet deadlines.
• Good listening, communication skills and relationship capabilities to create an efficient network internally.
• Team player and able to self-develop

• French fluent mandatory
• Englis fluent mandatory
