Intro to the Job
Danone is looking for an experienced senior communications leader to shape, build and protect our corporate reputation across the UK & Ireland.
This is a high-profile leadership role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving and highly scrutinised environments. You will lead Danone UKI's approach to corporate reputation, external communications, media relations and crisis & issues management, while acting as a trusted communications adviser to our General Manager and senior leadership.
As a key corporate spokesperson, you will build strong relationships with influential media and external stakeholders, anticipate emerging reputational issues and ensure Danone is prepared to respond confidently and effectively when it matters most.

What you'll do
Protect our reputation
- Lead Danone UKI's corporate reputation strategy, strengthening and protecting our reputation with key external stakeholders.
- Own our approach to crisis and issues communications, including preparedness, response and reputational risk.
- Ensure effective media and social listening and provide early warning of emerging issues.
- Oversee measurement of corporate reputation and communications impact.
Lead our media and external communications
- Define and deliver Danone UKI's media relations and external communications strategy.
- Build trusted relationships with top-tier UK media and key external stakeholders.
- Act as a corporate spokesperson for Danone UKI.
- Lead corporate social media strategy in partnership with our category and brand teams.
- Lead agency relationships across corporate PR, reputation and crisis communications.
Advise senior leadership
- Act as a trusted communications adviser to the UKI General Manager and Leadership Team, providing counsel on reputation, media and sensitive business issues.
- Prepare, coach and media-train senior leaders to represent Danone confidently externally.
- Translate complex business priorities and reputational challenges into clear communication strategies.
Lead and develop the team
- Lead, coach and develop our corporate communications team, creating an environment where people can perform, grow and have impact.
Sobre ti
We are looking for an established corporate communications leader with significant experience working in a large, complex and highly scrutinised organisation.
You'll bring:
- Significant leadership experience across corporate/external communications and reputation management.
- Deep experience leading crisis and issues communications, including managing complex or high-profile reputational situations.
- Strong media relations experience and established experience working with top-tier media.
- Experience advising and influencing CEOs, General Managers or Executive/Leadership Teams.
- Experience acting as, or supporting, senior corporate spokespeople.
- Strong strategic judgement combined with the ability to lead communications effectively when circumstances move quickly.
- Proven people leadership and experience developing communications talent.
- Experience working within a large global or matrix organisation.
Experience from food & beverage, FMCG or another regulated/highly scrutinised industry is required for this role.
