YOUR MISSIONS AT DANONE:

This internship will take place in Gif-sur-Yvette, at our Research & Innovation Center starting from January to March 2026. Stéphane Dagnas, Microbiology Risk Assessor in the Danone Food Safety Center - Microbiology team will guide you through your day-to-day tasks and help you grow in your role:

• Define a list of major spoilage molds (filamentous fungi) relevant to the Danone product/process portfolio, based on literature and internal data review.
• Perform a literature review on Predictive Microbiology models applied to filamentous fungi in food.
• Collect Predictive Microbiology data describing growth of molds in food, from external literature and databases.
• Propose a strategy to develop a Predictive Microbiology tool for growth of molds in food (models and tool architecture)
• Develop the tool (Final objective of the internship)

PLUS POINTS OF THIS JOB:

• Up to 2 days/week of remote work
• Full reimbursement of Navigo pass
• "Vendredi je grandis" program: development every Friday afternoon covering career, soft skills, and hard skills.
• Compensation from €1,300 (Bac +4 and gap year) to €1,500 (Bac +5) gross/month.

To achieve great things together, we are looking for someone:

• Available from January-March 2026 for a duration of 6 months,
• At the level of Bac+4/5 in university or engineering school with a focus on Food Microbiology (knowing the principles of Predictive Microbiology is a plus)
• Organized, rigorous, and autonomous,
• Comfortable in performing scientific literature review,
• Comfortable with Office 365 and particularly Excel (knowing R or another programming language is a plus)
• Who enjoys working closely with Quality & Food Safety teams and interacting with different departments
