Sobre el trabajo

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team and be responsible for the following: 

 

  • Lead a Warehouse teams to deliver in all areas of the sites and departments objectives, in line with our S, Q, C, D, M, E targets
  • Maintain a high standard of service to internal/external suppliers/customers with area of remit in the direct delivery model and develop relationships with the key stake holders.
  • Challenge performance & cost drivers in his/her area of responsibility and identify related gaps with the strategy, develops action plans accordingly
  • Contribute to transversal projects breaking silos and optimizing total cost to serve
  • Take advantage of his/her internal network to contribute to SC innovative projects
  • Leading shift performance review and improvement activity planning, leading by example with SIMs and WH reporting
  • Arranging staff availability for non-routine activities e.g. training, etc.
  • Holding Teams and Operators to account and drive performance and improvements
  • Monitoring/Maintaining/Developing Area H&S policy and practice

 

The succesful candidate will have the following main responsibilities and KPIs:

 

Safety

  • Animation of safety culture across the teams
  • Deliver of safety improvement plans within the WH areas
  • Involvement in WISE (working in safe environment) cultural and compliance elements
  • Delivery of site target of ‘0’ accidents through ownership of audits, tags, near missed, incident reporting

Quality

  • Reviewing & maintaining warehouse SOP’s
  • Completing competencies assessments and initial training with support from Senior Technicians on 24.7 shifts
  • Completing agency and new starter inductions
  • Submitting and approving change controls to revise warehouse documentation
  • Auditing and managing compliance:  5S, procedural compliance, product compliance, etc.
  • Participating in or leading problem-solving teams, PSG
  • Timely management of quality issues, CARs investigations and completion of SDNs
  • Managing adhoc activities; safety issues, TOPs, risk assessments
  • Know and understands the supply chain processes and is aware of related Dan Go (objectives, main steps, tools, organization & interfaces)

Delivery

  • Drive the SC partnership strategy with customers/suppliers in accordance with the overall strategy
  • Allocating area resource and creating daily resource plan to meet the minimum levels within the WH and escalating/approving agency and overtime requirements
  • Facilitating delivery of the WH SQDCM performance and Daily Sim meeting – to manage performance against the plan
  • Forward checking to ensure everything in place to prevent line downtime:  Materials, information etc
  • Weekly analysis of performance data to identify and action sporadic losses
  • Managing visibility / accuracy of all information displayed within the department
  • Cascading communication – targets, priorities, current performance, and activities / plans
  • Responsible for loading of direct delivery to major markets & stock transfer to the central distribution centre
  • Managing Warehouse processes and deliveries RFT
  • Knows the major interfaces in his/her activity within and outside supply chain

 

Cost

  • Understand the impact of his/her activity on SC & CBU P&L and is aware of the main improvement levers of within SC
  • Use Tekdan/SAP system to monitor, control inventory accuracy

 

Management

  • Authorising holidays within the shifts and managing absenteeism
  • Key point of escalate for shifts and senior technicians
  • Performance management of shift teams and Senior technicians
  • Creation of teams PDR objectives and providing supporting and coaching to deliver

  • Capable of working on multiple priorities with set targets and time frames

 

 

Required experience/background:

  • Understand the SC organization of our customers & suppliers, their strategy, objectives and associated key performance indicators
  • Manage supplier relationships through a clear monitoring of KPIs
  • Develop trust & collaborative mindset with suppliers & customers while using negotiation skills to improve day-to-day work
  • Monitor the procurement process, the MRP parameters and the key components on long term availability
  • Experience with working within process constraints and with capacity constraints to improve the overall site flow
  • Experienced People manager driving a individual development culture
  • Creating and encouraging a team culture
