MISSION 

The Strategy Manager, Dairy Category, supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive the growth and sustainability of Danone’s Dairy business. Working closely with the Dairy Category leadership, global functions, zone teams, and CBUs, the  Strategy Manager helps translate the global category strategy into actionable initiatives and supports the execution and monitoring of these plans at both global and local levels. 

 

This role will take place in Paris, in our head office, as soon as possible.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the development or refinement of the Dairy category’s 3- to 5-year strategic roadmap, in collaboration with Strategy & Insights, Finance, Operations, Platforms, Brands and other relevant teams. 
  • Assist in the translation of global Dairy strategies into actionable plans for zones and CBUs, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization. This can be in the form of toolkits, frameworks, playbooks or workshops. 
  • Coordinate and track the implementation of strategic initiatives, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. 
  • Prepare and deliver clear, impactful presentations and toolkits to communicate strategic priorities and progress to internal teams. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of strategic projects, sharing best practices and supporting capability building within the Dairy category. 
  • Acting as Secretary to the Global Dairy Leadership Team Monthly Meeting, setting agenda, steering the conversation, acting as time-keeper, sending and following up on minutes.  
  • Contribute to business case development, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to support decision-making. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, representing the Dairy category in relevant forums and working groups.

  • Effective tracking and reporting of strategic initiative progress and outcomes. 
  • High-quality presentations and toolkits to support strategic alignment and execution. 
  • Uncovering and sizing potential growth, profitability, and efficiency  opps within the Dairy category. 
  • End-to-End lead on strategic projects.

The ideal candidate is strategic thinker who is driven by business results, with a holistic understanding of consumers and growth drivers and able to engage and with an experience on a strategy role. 

 

SKILLS & PROFILE 

  • Structure and Analytical skills (make the complex simple, make the conceptual concrete) 
  • Problem-solving and business sense 
  • Financial modeling and business casing 
  • Facilitation skills in challenging cross-functional organizations  
  • Proven record on managing complex projects 
  • « Connect the dots » mindset 
  • Strong collaboration & listening skills, stakeholders management and capacity to lead by influence 
  • Presentation skills (both visual and oral) 
  • Curious, with a passion for food  
  • Basic understanding of marketing or willingness to learn quickly 

 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience: 5+  
  • Business education: PHD, Master, Bachelor 
  • Experience in strategy, marketing, business development  
  • Preferred: multi-function / categories experiences
