Equipment Operator - Warehouse 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Equipment Operator - Warehouse to join our state-of-the-art spray drying production facility in Balclutha, New Zealand. This is a permanent full-time role working 12-hour rotating shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off), with a minimum of 42 guaranteed hours per week.

As a key member of our versatile team, you will take ownership of the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, QA samples, and finished goods, enabling the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. You will also operate and optimise equipment used in the conversion of raw milk into infant formula powder, ensuring consistent output that meets Danone’s stringent specifications.

Reporting to the Line Shift Lead - Dryer, you will support the company’s goals and policies while ensuring maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Forklift Operation Certification.
• Proven experience operating industrial equipment in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment.
• Strong understanding of process control principles and ability to interpret run sheets.
• Experience in stock management and record keeping.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safe coordination of maintenance activities.
• Commitment to food safety regulations and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; a true team player.
• Computer literacy (RF and SAP experience advantageous).
• A proactive, solution-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and systems.
• Punctuality, reliability, and an excellent attendance record.
