To support Danone’s business growth ambition, you as a Fruits & Vegetables buyer will work on a spend of around 12 million euros covering the scope of the fruits processed & fresh vegetables for our First Diet division (babyfood). You will have to integrate, implement and organize the category strategic sourcing programs for Danone within the central team based in Europe.  

Located in Warsaw in Poland, you will be responsible for managing the portfolio of the fruits processed & fresh vegetables for our factories located in Brive-la-Gaillarde (France) and Opole (Poland).

As part of the Food team you will :

• Design and execute a future-fit sourcing strategy for fruits & vegetables across First Diet operations, aligned with business priorities, innovation pipelines, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&I, SQM, Quality, Operations, and Marketing to co-create ingredient strategies that deliver superior product performance and consumer value.
• Build strategic partnerships with suppliers to unlock innovation, agility, shared sustainability commitments and generate productivity.
• Represent the category globally, ensuring seamless integration of local execution with global strategies.

 Part of your responsibilities will be:  

• Envision, own, and deliver the sourcing strategy for fruits and vegetables for our factories in France and in Poland, driving supply antifragility, value creation, and specification harmonization.
• Spearhead innovation and reformulation initiatives, enabling recipe flexibility that meets evolving consumer needs and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation, building resilient and diversified sourcing networks.

• Implementing SRM programs with suppliers including polish farmers to further secure supplies, generate savings, and achieve sustainability objectives.

• Lead the productivity and cost optimization agenda, ensuring delivery of annual savings targets.

About You

You are a strategic buyer with:

• 2+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally in food ingredients at a regional or global level.
• Driving cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation, regulatory frameworks, and supplier ecosystems, preferably in baby food or specialized nutrition.
• Very good negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• A passion for sustainability and innovation, with a drive to make a meaningful impact.

You are a Polish speaker as you will have to manage relationships with polish farmers for the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables to our factory in Poland and you are fluent in English.
