Key mission:

Develop and contribute to the global category strategy definition and oversee implementation across the company. Ensure best contractual conditions globally and drive supplier enabled innovation and supplier relationship management. Lead the ideation and execution of Global 'Big Bets' in coordination with the local, regional, and global stakeholders. Support Business units with day-to-day escalation and urgencies. Bring innovative ideas, and out of the box mindset to develop category processes and financial efficiency.

Main responsibilities: 

• Build the category strategy based on the D2D (Design to Deliver) strategy and in alignment with the C&P guidelines in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders and guide them to actively support and deploy the category strategies and projects locally.
• Drive category performance across all pillars: risk management, supplier capacity, quality, total cost of ownership, security of supply, sustainability program, BCPs.
• Lead the sustainability and compliance journey of the category aligned to the corporate sustainability and stewardship goals.
• Support the regions to optimize their supplier portfolio according to the strategy and secure supply.
• Engage and develop process with suppliers to ensure first access to innovation & sustainability.
• Follow-up the Export Control Tower: lead commercial stream. Ensure successful commercial implementation, support D2D teams with performance deviation and mitigation plans.
• Build and share market analysis at global / regional level considering business priorities of the affected business units and actively monitor the external market conditions that might have impact on Danone business.
• Manage the relationship and innovation agenda for strategic carriers & forwarders.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Strategic procurement at Regional / Global level
• Highly skilled in negotiation
• Transversal and project management, able to successfully operate cross-functionally and cross-culturally
• Excellent Presentation / Communication skills
• Analytical & Fundamental IT skills
• Legal knowledge in contracting and Procurement clauses.        
• Experience with Logistics contracts, Air and Ocean preferred.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

• Min. 10-year experience in procurement and/or supply chain, preferably managing Ocean & Air Freight in an FMCG environment or a Logistics company.
• Industry and Types of Companies: FMCG, Global Logistics Providers, Freight Forwarders
• Types of jobs: Procurement / Supply Chain
• Level at last job: Manager / Senior Manager
• Experience working in an international environment and fast-paced projects.
