As Senior Buyer Packaging Specialties, you will join the Global Cycles & Procurement team and play a key role in managing a global portfolio with a strong focus on Big Bags and Specialty Packaging supporting Danone's Specialized Nutrition business.

You will be responsible for driving procurement strategies, supplier performance, business continuity, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional projects across multiple regions and manufacturing sites. This role requires close collaboration with factories, global suppliers, Operations, Quality, R&I, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the global category strategy for Big Bags and Specialty Packaging (spend is ~50m€), balancing security of supply, sustainability, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
  • Lead supplier qualification, validation and harmonization initiatives across multiple factories, creating standardized ways of working, increasing resilience, and capturing efficiency opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional category projects across manufacturing plants, Supply Chain, Quality, R&I and Operations, ensuring successful delivery of business priorities and category objectives.
  • Lead strategic supplier relationship management, building strong partnerships with global suppliers while driving performance, innovation, and long-term value creation.
  • Ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence by proactively managing risks, developing contingency plans, and collaborating closely with manufacturing sites and suppliers to resolve operational challenges.
  • Deliver productivity, sustainability and innovation programs, identifying opportunities that support Danone's growth ambitions while advancing the company's packaging and circularity agenda.

 

You will be part of the Cycles & Procurement team-based in Hoofddorp. You will be report to Deyvid Ivanov, Global C&P Manager - Specialty Packaging.

A propos de vous

To be successful in this role, you combine strong procurement expertise with project management and stakeholder management capabilities. You have at least 5 years of procurement experience within FMCG on global level and experience within packaging categories or other direct materials.

 

Furthermore, you have:

  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiations, and cost optimization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing plants and operations teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively drives initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI-powered analytics tools to enhance procurement insights and decision-making.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (EU).

The salary range for this role is €85.000 – €95.000  gross annually (including 8% holiday allowance).  Your final offer will reflect your skills and experience while also ensuring alignment with our internal equity and salary framework.
