Want to gain hands-on experience in early-stage product development within medical nutrition? Apply now to join us as our new Explo & New Growth Spaces Intern in Utrecht!
As a Explo and New Growth Spaces intern, you will support early-stage development of medical nutrition products, while building and applying a strong understanding of ingredient functionality - with focus on fibers - and their impact on product performance. You will actively contribute to generating and consolidating experimental data, deriving insights, and translating findings into practical, actionable recommendations.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Manage shelf-life studies, including sample preparation, storage coordination, and periodic analysis
Analyze and interpret experimental data to identify trends and support process understanding
Support pilot-scale trials under supervision
Collaborate closely with team members and support product development activities
Consolidate data and translate findings into clear reports for internal stakeholders
You are an enthusiastic Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Food Technology, Bioprocessing, Nutritional Science, or a related technical field, who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and feels comfortable carrying out hands-on experimental activities; experience with rheological measurements is an advantage but not required. You bring a detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills, combined with the ability to manage, organize, and interpret experimental data effectively. As a collaborative team player, you contribute positively to group efforts while also demonstrating strong project and time management skills. You are motivated by innovation and creativity and eager to apply these qualities in a practical research setting.
