Are you a seasoned logistics professional? Do you thrive on building relations with 3PL’s? We have an amazing, newly created opportunity for a Logistics Service Specialist in our dynamic logistics team. This role could be based in Auckland or Sydney. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth logistics and warehouse operations, serving as the main liaison between the business and the 3PL provider.

Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will be to ensure data accuracy, maintain documentation, oversee inventory control, and lead improvement projects. You will hold regular meetings with the 3PL provider and key stakeholders, identify efficiency gains, and process purchase orders and invoices, all with a focus on delivering better results for Danone, its customers, consumers, and patients

You will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the business and the 3PL provider for warehouse and transport operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication to facilitate smooth logistics operations and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the 3PL provider to achieve KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) interface, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with internal standards and business governance requirements.
  • Lead improvement projects to enhance logistics processes and outcomes, focusing on delivering better results for the company and its stakeholders.

A propos de vous

You are a highly skilled logistics officer with a strong enthusiasm for working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Your extensive experience in fast-paced environments, combined with your exceptional stakeholder engagement and influential skills, will enable you to excel in this role. You have a talent for building relationships and communicating efficiently. Your ability to take ownership and act with speed, agility, and pragmatism is vital to your success in this position.

To be successful, you will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Science/Engineering/Operations/Supply Chain or related field
  • Proven experience in Logistics/Supply Chain in Healthcare or FMCG.
  • Strong IT skills with prior experience in Supply Chain/Warehouse systems.
  • Super user in SAP, Excel, and WMS is highly desired.
  • Strong attention to detail with data analysis skills preferred
  • Continuous improvement and Project Management skills are desired.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work with shifting priorities.
