We currently have opportunities for an FTC Maintenance Stores Administrator. The Maintenance Stores Administrator role plays an important role in assisting the Maintenance Planner with all administrative work within the Maintenance Department.

The role is part of a small, committed team and reports into the Maintenance Planner. 

 

The main objective of this role is to ensure that the appropriate spare parts are received from the approved vendor on time into the business and are available as and when required by Maintenance to ensure the effective running of the plant.  Control the authorisation process of the purchasing invoices. 

A propos de vous

The successful candidate will be responsible for:  

  • Purchasing – reporting on outstanding purchase orders and ensure vendors supply parts on time by expediting purchase orders before the due date to avoid any stock out situations. 
  • Purchase Invoicing – approving all invoices through SAP (Kofax Processor Director). This includes dealing with queries. 
  • Stock Management – count recommended stock items on a daily basis to ensure continuity of supply.  Report any stock discrepancies for investigation and adjustment. 
  • Assistance – assist other team members during busy periods or provide cover during holidays.  This will include Purchasing, Booking In, relocating spares, printing Work Orders, picking parts and any other tasks normally carried out by the team. 

 

About You:

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

 

  • Literacy and numeracy skills at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Working knowledge of stock management and stock control. 

 

Critical experience required

  • Computer literacy – SAP competence is desirable. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Competent at working within a Stores environment.
  • Working knowledge of Engineering technology.
  • Analytical nature.
  • Understanding Purchase Ledger Accounts.
  • Effective negotiation skills. 
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to organise workload effectively. 
  • Assertiveness (ability to challenge).
