In this role as Senior FP&A Controller, you report directly to the Danone Benelux Head of FP&A and manage the FP&A Controller (L9). You will be responsible for Benelux financials reporting, and also support the performance review process of the Benelux entity. You ensure a complete and qualitative delivery in time of the management reporting and contribute to the definition of the business objectives. You liaise with different teams (e.g. Finance, Operations, locally but also at Company Group level) and are the sparring partner for the business (management and the internal stakeholders of Danone).

Your key responsibilities include:

• Budgeting and forecasting: You will work closely with the Head of FP&A by supporting the Benelux budgeting process and the strategic finance forecasts. You will play an active role in the monthly GPS process.
• Reporting and analyzing: with the help of the FP&A controller, you report the financial information for the Benelux entity. You will perform financial & ad hoc analyses, and monitor the evolution of financial KPI's and important business drivers (GPS and closing). Doing so, you provide on time the accurate and relevant information to the management.
• Process improvement: You support the evaluation of existing internal reporting processes and procedures and recommend improvements, in order to manage the risks and to ensure compliance.
• Business Acumen: You have a general understanding of business principles and together with your manager, you develop an integrated view on the Benelux market dynamics, based on a detailed interpretation of the business results, in order to help the management in making thoughtful business decisions.
• Improvement and Business development projects: you take part of projects related to the financial reporting processes, in order to ensure continuous improvement within divisional controlling and by doing so to optimize the financial support to the management.
• People Management & Coaching: Providing guidance and supporting the professional development of the FP&A controller in your team.

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• A Master Degree in e.g. Economics, Business Engineering, Finance, etc. or equivalent through experience.
• At least 5 years of experience, within a financial department.
• Experience in business/commercial/operations/FP&A controlling is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, at ease to summarize data and capture quickly changing assumptions
• A team player attitude, demonstrating flexibility and proactiveness.
• Impactful presentation skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to drive and manage change
• An eagerness in coaching & developing more junior team members
• Experience with reporting tools is a plus.
• Languages: you are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is an asset.
