About the Job

The DBS Benelux organization provides business services for transactional finance and expert activities to all CBUs in the Benelux.  These activities include a.o. Financial Control, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control and Trading & Interco.  The primary locations of the DBS team is Rijswijk, Netherlands and Warsaw, Poland.

Record to Report (R2R) team is responsible for reliable and compliant financial accounting and reporting process for the CBUs in BENELUX scope. The team is also responsible for specific accounting activities such as GL accounting, fixed assets management, interco reconciliation and payroll accounting.

The trading team is part of the R2R BLX team and is the spider in the web of intercompany transactions within Danone. It is part of Danone Trading BV which acts as a central entrepreneur in the global buy-and-sell model within the Specialized Nutrition division. As such the team manages both inbound and outbound flows from/to Sales units (SU's) and Supply points (SP's), ensures proper application of the transfer pricing / TP policy and safeguards key elements like the technical and VAT setups within the model. The activities are mainly intercompany and are mixed between purchase to invoice (Inbound from SPs and 3rd party vendors) and sales order to invoice (Outbound to SUs) processes for 80 CBU's in 40 countries. 

The trading team is connected to many departments and entities all over the world. Every trading team member is responsible for a set of sales units and supply points. 

You will report directly the Trading & Intercompany Teamlead Trading and will be responsible for the flows between 3rd party vendors (non-Danone factories) and the Danone sales units for ELN products. This role is connected with many departments and entities all over the world. The increasing changes and growth within the SN division makes the environment dynamic and requires to always strive for an efficient way of working and have the ability to adjust swiftly. Trading and 3rd Party Accountant will not only be involved in the transactional activities but will also be allowed to develop knowledge and skills in transfer pricing which is key to all our processes.

Key activities covered by this role are the following:

• Collaboration with P2P team in Poland and follow up via workflows on missing GRs, Q-ty/Price Differences
• Collaboration with buyers and contract creators on missing contracts in SAP; Check 3rd party contact list
• Follow up on missing PRIMO prices and communication with the responsible controllers
• Collaboration up with Tax Team on missing tax conditions in the system
• Communication with the vendors on missing Invoices and follow up based on supplier statements
• Monthly ICE cross charges
• Involvement in the month-end close activities - PPV Calculation; accruals for missing GRs and Invoices; IC margin check and follow up with the other Danone entities in case of discrepancies
• Audit support and additional support of the tax team for annual/bi-annual reporting
• Involvement in the projects for setting up new DTBV flows (new vendors, new customers, new products)

•    Relevant BSc or University degree in Accounting or related fields
•    2 years of working experience in accounting/finance/intercompany role preferably in a shared service environment
•    Experience working with SAP and advanced Excel skills will be advantageous
•    Strong analytical person with attention to details
•    Good communication skills in English
•    Great team player who can also work independently
