We are looking for a Global IT&Data Product Owner FP&A – Operational Controlling to ensure continuity, stability and value delivery of critical FP&A products during a maternity leave period - 7 months.

This is an IT Product Owner role, operating in a co-lead model with a Business Product Owner, dedicated to SAP Controlling solutions. The position requires deep hands-on expertise in SAP CO (CO-PA, Material Ledger) and strong exposure to FP&A operational processes. The role sits at the intersection of Finance, IT, Data and external partners, with full accountability on IT product ownership, run excellence and Finance Core Model alignment.

Product Scope & Ownership:

  • End-to-end IT ownership of SAP CO landscape supporting FP&A and Operational Controlling: o CO-PA (profitability analysis) o Material Ledger / actual costing o Cost centers, internal orders, allocations, settlements.
  • Guarantee alignment with Finance Core Model, controlling principles and group standards.
  • Act as the technical-functional reference for SAP CO topics across IT and Finance.

Product Vision & Roadmap:

  • Co-define and own the IT product vision for SAP CO / CO-PA / ML, in close partnership with the Business Product Owner.
  • Build and maintain a product roadmap balancing: o Run & closing stability o CO process improvements o Automation and data quality initiatives.
  • Own and prioritize the SAP CO-focused backlog (allocations, cycles, hierarchies, performance, monitoring).
  • Ensure architectural consistency across ERP, EPM and BI platforms.

Delivery & Execution:

  • Translate business controlling requirements into precise SAP CO functional and technical user stories.
  • Drive solution design discussions with IT squads, Data teams and SAP partners.
  • Coordinate deliveries and releases with Run, Finance and Business stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, scalable and compliant with Core Model standards.

Run Excellence:

  • Ensure operational stability of SAP CO / CO-PA processes, especially during closing cycles.
  • Troubleshoot complex functional and data issues end-to-end (CO postings, allocations, reconciliation).
  • Challenge managed services and SAP partners on: o Incident resolution o Root cause analysis o SLA adherence and service quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement on process reliability, performance and automation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:

  • Act as the IT single point of contact for SAP CO / FP&A Operational Controlling.
  • Work in tight partnership with the Business Product Owner on priorities and decisions.
  • Interface with Finance, IT, Data teams and external partners (SAP, EPM, BI).
  • Prepare and defend change requests in governance bodies with a strong SAP CO and Core Model rationale.

Cross-Functional & Transformation Initiatives:

  • Contribute to Finance transformation initiatives impacting costing, profitability, hierarchies and reporting.
  • Anticipate downstream impacts on EPM, BI and reporting consumers.
  • Ensure end-to-end coherence across the FP&A ecosystem.

About you

We expect you to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance IT or SAP environments, with a strong focus on SAP Controlling (CO)
  • proven track record on SAP CO implementations or run: - CO-PA (profitability analysis) - Material Ledger / actual costing - Allocations, cycles, settlements, controlling structures.
  • experience as IT Product Owner, Functional Lead or Solution Owner on SAP CO topics.
  • solid exposure to FP&A and Operational Controlling processes, ideally in a global or multi-entity context.
  • proper stakeholder & operating style: comfortable interacting with: - Finance leaders (FP&A, Controlling) - IT squads and architects - Data teams - External SAP partners.
  • pragmatic, structured, and execution-oriented attitude
