We are currently seeking a replacement for a Master Data Manager. The incumbent lead and enhance master data operations with a focus on the Japan market, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business goals through effective team management and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities :

- Facilitate regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of all operational master data (Vendor, Customer, Material, pricing, BOM, etc) ensuring accuracy, consistency and timelines across systems
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and compliance
- Collaborate with key business units to understand data requirements and provide support in data-related matters
- Provide regular reporting on master data performance, highlighting any data issues and proposing corrective actions
- Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making and identify trends or anomalies in data that may require attention
- Develop and present data quality reports, offering insights to the Master Data Service Lead and other leadership teams.
- Lead and coordinate master-data related projects, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Work with across-functional teams to implement data-related improvements and optimizations.
- Act as a Subject matter expert (SME) in data management for ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of 1-2 Specialist/Analyst to align with business objective and enhance data management practices.
- Set clear performance expectations and guide team members to achieve their goals
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders e.g. IT, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teams) and external vendors to ensure efficient data flow.
- Collaborate with key business users to resolve master data issues and ensure system alignment.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Information Technology Data, Data Management or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in master data management, handling large-scale data management and working experience in SAP data management systems and data governance tools.
- Proficiency in Japanese, with a minimum qualification of JLPT N2, is required
- Experience in communicating and presenting to stakeholders based in Japan is essential.
- Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
- Knowledge in ORsoft, Coupa, Power BI and others data management software is a plus.
