• Secure our communication towards our science and the applicable regulation
• Following the evolving regulatory environment
• Analyse/watch up coming legislations,
• Contributes to the definition of Danone policies and protect our territories (categories, product definition such as probiotics, dairies ( milk, fermented milk, … ).
• Implement the Group strategy to reinforce the ownability of our science, process, data and claims.

• Draft and validation of contracts with third parties involving Regulatory topics,

The Food Law Counsel provides support to the CBU for the management of any legal issue/challenge resulting from the communication/labelling or presentation of our products.

• Non-judicial actions (warning letters, negotiations,..)
• Administrative actions: answer to Regulatory authorities, national bodies in charge of validating advertising.
• Judicial actions: misleading advertising, unfair competition, class actions…;
• Criminal actions ;

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.

• From a Master degree in Law, added with a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferred in Food Law or Regulatory Affairs
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, used to interact with high level stakeholders in cross functional teams
• Able to build the communication strategy and secure new projects and local needs, experience with health claims is a pre
• Experience defending the brand against external challenges of communication labeling
• Familiar with, used to work together with, external service providers (law firms, authorities etc.)
• Proactive and collaborative mindset, able to challenge status quo, able to make an impact and solution orientated.
