About the Job:  

 

We are currently looking to hire a Distribution Center Operations Manager for the eastern US! 

 

The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for working with HOD’s 3PL providers to maintain inventory control and improve service and cost efficiencies.

 

This position will work at HOD’s 3PL partner sites across the US, as well as interacting with HOD Corporate teams (Logistics, Inventory Control, Finance, Customer Experience, and Supply Planning).

 

This is a remote position with up to 75% expected travel. This position is based in the eastern United States.

 

Preferred candidate locations/HOD 3PL partner sites in:

Franklin, IN

West Seneca, NY

Lyndhurst, VA

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Daily inventory reconciliation between 3rd party logistics balance sheet and HOD balance sheet.
  • Manage 3PL to ensure policies, processes, system and reporting requirements are met regarding inventory management (including low code & expiry), order selection and preparation, shipping and receiving, operations risk management, quality assurance and safety management.
  • Contribute to design of HOD network post service agreement.
  • Responsible for HOD warehouse performance KPIs (stock rotation, pick order accuracy, on-time delivery, spend, etc.).
  • Effectively evaluate storage needs for additional capacity and respond to needs by evaluating current providers or adding new providers.
  • Active in building positive logistics relationships & performance reviews.
  • Be a liaison for logistics to the rest of the supply chain. Improve supply chain performance through effective cross functional communication.

The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience. 

About you

Professional Experience/Education needed:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Logistics / Supply Chain functions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Inventory management experience
  • Knowledge in financial and strategic analysis and planning.
  • Ability to work with internal and external teams to improve process.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
  • Fluency with spreadsheets, warehouse management systems and database software and/or business systems.
  • Advanced Excel Skills, experience with SAP or other ERP systems and experience with warehouse management software.
