At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Sanitation Associate - Day Shift based in DuBois, PA! 

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Conducts production equipment cleaning, chemical handling, pest control and building upkeep. Supports company goals, processes, and procedures to ensure highest quality products are produced in a thoroughly clean environment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Maintains required documentation current and accurately
  • Must be able to clean interior/exterior of the plant, floors and walls, drains and conveyors as assigned
  • Discard trash throughout the plant
  • Cleans ingredient staging area, warehouse, and coolers as needed
  • Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and office areas as per master sanitation schedule
  • Perform duties as per master sanitation schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

About you

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 6 – 9 months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable
  • Must have good working knowledge of chemicals used in cleaning

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Successful performance of this job requires an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions.  The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant making wearing of PPE essential.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
