About the Job
- Execute assigned R&I activities within the framework, priorities, and timelines defined by the Line Manager.
- Prepare product prototypes at laboratory and R&I pilot-plant scale in accordance with project requirements.
- Support plant validation and factory trials for new product development (NPD), product renovation, and improvement projects.
- Prepare and coordinate sensory evaluations, including in-house sensory assessments, and support consumer testing activities as required.
- Conduct shelf-life studies for raw materials and finished products in accordance with established protocols.
- Support the first commercial production batches of new or renovated products, working closely with the Line Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of technical dossiers and supporting documentation required for FDA/product registration.
- Collaborate closely with the R&I team to ensure efficient planning, utilization, and sharing of laboratory resources.
- Proactively identify, document, and escalate observations or findings arising from laboratory prototyping, testing, and shelf-life evaluations.
- Comply with internal shelf-life protocols and UX ways of working, including appropriate preparation, handling, and evaluation of shelf-life samples.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including C&P/Purchasing, QFS, Operations, and Warehouse, to ensure effective and timely execution.
- Support and comply with applicable Quality and Environmental Management Systems, including ISO 9001, HACCP, and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of R&I technical documentation, including Technical Manuals, Product Specifications and pack/label information, in collaboration with Operations, Third-Party Manufacturers, and in accordance with Danone standards.
- Support competitor and technical landscape analysis by staying up to date with relevant R&I trends, competitive products, ingredients, technologies, and technical developments to contribute to competitive and cost-effective product solutions.
- Lead assigned projects of appropriate complexity, such as raw material evaluations, efficiency/productivity initiatives, and product renovation projects, with guidance from the Line Manager as required.
- Manage project-related PR, PO and payment processes to ensure timely execution of R&I activities.

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific/technical field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in food product development, R&I/R&D, laboratory, or manufacturing environment
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Good planning, prioritization, and analytical skills
- Hands-on and willing to operate laboratory/pilot equipment
- Comfortable with sensory evaluation and food tasting. (i.e. no food allergies)
- Able to work independently, solve problems, and escalate when needed
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
