ABOUT THE JOB

As a Nutricia Homeward Nurse, you’ll provide care for patients who are being tube-fed in their own homes. You’ll build strong relationships with carers & healthcare professionals, including dietitians, GPs, and local nurses. 

 

This field-based position supports predominantly paediatric patients within in Aneurin Bevan UHB and the surrounding area of South Wales. To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse, (RGN, RSCN or RNLD), with at least 12 months’ experience and living in South Wales or the surrounding area. You’ll also need a full UK Driving License; we’ll provide a company car, fuel card and a lunch allowance when you’re in the field. 

 

Role Focus: 

  • To develop and deliver comprehensive training to patients, carers, and HCPs to support safe discharges from the hospital, as well as ongoing training for quality care at home. 

  • Complete regular patient reviews and be on hand to support with questions, issues and troubleshooting requests. 

  • To assist in preventing unnecessary hospital stays, including tube changes within the Community.

We’d love to see you demonstrate: 

  • Your ability to work independently, whilst effectively managing your diary. 

  • Your clear understanding of the UK Healthcare Market, including the NHS. 

  • How you’ve used your excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, including patients and HCPs. 

 

Knowledge of enteral tube feeding is desirable, but we’ll provide you with comprehensive training in this subject.
