Research Internship in Protein and Amino Acid Requirements

About the job

Are you curious about how protein and amino acid requirements are developed, debated, and translated from scientific evidence into real world nutrition standards and products? Are you comfortable synthesizing complex information into concise written outputs? Do you enjoy working in a structured and independent way, while collaborating effectively in a team?

This internship offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of nutrition science, expert consensus, and innovation strategy. You will contribute to a scientific project focused on establishing science-based protein and amino acid standards that guide product formulation and inform research priorities.

Then apply now and join us as our new Research Internship in Protein and Amino Acid Requirements in our Utrecht office starting June 2026!

In this role, you will work closely with scientists across the Nutritional Physiology Department to:

  • Conduct a targeted literature review on protein and amino acid requirements and reference patterns.
  • Compare and synthesize guidance from different scientific and regulatory bodies.
  • Translate scientific findings into clear summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Support preparation and documentation for expert discussions, including background materials and synthesis of feedback.

This is a desk-based, analytical role with strong exposure to scientific standard setting and expert engagement in a global nutrition company.
