About the job

 

As Senior Shopper Marketing Manager at Danone, you will play a pivotal role in connecting Marketing and Customer teams to deliver impactful shopper activations that will grow our categories. You will lead the Shopper Marketing team (3 FTE) across all channels and customers, while taking dedicated responsibility for the Plant-Based category.

 

Your mission is twofold:

  • Drive shopper activation strategies that influence shopping behavior and fuel brand and customer growth.
  • Manage and develop the shopper marketing team, ensuring alignment with category and brand strategies and delivering strong business results.

You will collaborate closely with Brand, Key Account, and Category Managers, as well as field teams, to design and execute innovative activation plans for Retail and Out-of-Home environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead Shopper Marketing Roadmap: Lead the Shopper Marketing Strategy for the Retail and Away From Home Channels, recommending the best opportunities along the path to purchase in line with business priorities.
  • Plant-Based Category Focus: Develop and implement shopper marketing strategies for the Plant-Based portfolio, ensuring relevance and impact.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coach the shopper marketing team (3 FTE), setting clear mandates and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
  • Business Impact: Deliver financial targets through effective planning, KPI tracking, and ROI analysis of activations.
  • Develop, test and scale innovative activation ideasCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Category and KAM teams, to ensure category-led approach towards customers and shoppers. Bridge with Marketing, ensure shopper plans align with brand campaigns.
  • Insights & Analytics: Apply shopper journey thinking and activation frameworks to create end-to-end plans, measure success, and optimize campaigns.
  • Post-Activation Analysis: Monitor performance and competitive moves, identify weak signals, and use insights to improve future activations.

About you

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic professional who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in FMCG or retail, ideally in Shopper Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Sales.
  • Brings strong consumer journey thinking and curiosity about shopping trends.
  • Is skilled in shopper activation strategy and execution, with a data-driven approach to KPIs and ROI.
  • Demonstrates excellent project management and thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Can lead and inspire a team, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Shows strategic agility, conceptual thinking, and financial acumen.
  • Is fluent in Flemish or French, with strong English communication skills.
