Master Data Architect

About the job

Quality, efficiency, and safety all play a big role in our work at Danone. Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for the Supply Chain team. We are currently looking to hire a Master Data Analytics Manager based in White Plains, NY, Louisville, CO, or near any of our Plant locations!

This position is for a Master Data Architect/Engineer who will build and maintain Danone’s Business Intelligence Analytical Warehouse.  This analytical data warehouse will support Operations Functions and reporting needs.  This individual will design and implement the database model, develop a robust star schema, hierarchy reference tables and coordinate and aggregate all related data from the source system to populate the model which will feed into highly synced interactive dashboards for consumption by internal cross functional business partners.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and build a functional analytical warehouse in Snowflake/Databricks or other data platform to support Danone’s analytical initiatives.
  • Engage with cross functional leaders for data builds and reporting needs; guide non-technical consumers in development specs criteria and engagement for analytical business consumption.
  • Help drive strategic and tactical discussions leveraging SAP and other data sources.
  • Create ETL dataflows in SQL or Alteryx Designer and manage the ETL load schedule.
  • Build interactive, engaging, and attractive MS PowerBI reports and Dashboards that not only display aggregated values, but help prompt new areas of analysis and data discovery.  The candidate should be comfortable working across business areas to understand the reporting requirements and then identify the next level of complimentary data that will expand the context of the dashboard.
  • Query data out of SAP and into the Snowflake/Databricks/ SQL Server data warehouse.
  • Enhance SAP data through the ingestion and blending of internal and external third-party data for complementary analysis (customer data, transportation data, other 3rd party).  Data may be sourced from other RDBMS, such as Oracle, IBM DB2, or flat files.  It may require interfacing with external data providers to coordinate access, data definitions, and the method of automation.
  • Execute and maintain Danone’s data processing activities including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting metrics and develop snapshot logic for history captures and trend analysis.
  • Perform special projects and analyses as required.
  • Identification and automation of new reporting functions to reduce manual efforts (SQL).
  • Engage in various debug and break-fixes relative to above activities.
  • Maintain a healthy ecosystem for efficient and timely (daily) updates and refresh.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time.

The base compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience.
