¿Dónde quieres trabajar?

Hi, I'm Helen

I’m Talent Director at Danone, and I’m lucky to lead a brilliant team that’s responsible for finding exceptional talent and helping our Danoners lead fulfilling careers.

We look after everything from recruitment and sourcing to employer branding, succession planning, internal mobility and of course, our early careers programmes.

What excites you most about working with early careers talent?

It’s the fresh thinking, the energy, the curiosity. I love seeing how new joiners challenge the status quo, bring bold ideas to the table, and ask the questions that make us all think differently.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone grow in confidence, take ownership, and realise their potential, especially when you know you’ve helped create the environment for that to happen.

What makes our early careers programme unique compared to others?

There’s a lot that sets Danone apart, but here are a few things I’m especially proud of:

  • No degree requirement — we focus on potential, not academic background.
  • Functional focus — you join a real team, doing real work, with clear impact.
  • Robust learning & development — from day one, you’re supported with tools, training, and coaching to help you grow.
  • Stretching assignments — we believe in learning by doing, and you’ll be trusted with meaningful challenges.
  • Performance management that supports growth — regular feedback, clear goals, and development conversations are part of the rhythm.
  • You’re not a passenger — these aren’t “add-on” roles. You’re part of the business, contributing from the start.

What are your top tips for candidates applying to our early careers programme?

Here are my top tips to help you stand out — and find the right fit:

  • Do your research — not just about Danone, but about what matters to you. What kind of culture do you thrive in? What values do you want to see in action?
  • Be authentic — we want to get to know you, not a polished version of what you think we want to hear.
  • Show curiosity — ask questions, be interested, and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Connect your values to ours — Danone is a purpose-driven company. If our mission resonates with you, tell us why.
  • Think beyond the CV — we’re interested in your experiences, your mindset, and your potential. Don’t be afraid to share what makes you unique.

And finally — don’t be afraid to apply. Even if you’re not sure you tick every box, we’re looking for people who are ready to grow.

What advice would you give to someone starting their first role with us to set themselves up for success?

Here’s what I’d say to anyone starting out:

  • Be curious — ask questions, seek out different perspectives, and never stop learning.
  • Take initiative — if you see something that could be improved, speak up or get involved. Your voice matters.
  • Make the most of our learning opportunities — from mentoring to training to on-the-job experiences, there’s so much available.
  • Build your network — your cohort will likely become lifelong friends and allies. But also connect across teams — Danone is full of people who want to help you succeed.
  • Own your development — be proactive in setting goals, asking for feedback, and reflecting on your growth.
  • Stay open — to new ideas, new challenges, and even the unexpected. Some of the best career moments come from saying “yes” to something outside your comfort zone.

And most importantly, enjoy it. You’re joining a company that believes in people, purpose, and progress. Make the most of it.

You're not early talent, you're right on time!
