What makes learning here stand out from other Early Careers schemes?

We talk about our Early Careers joiners being ‘just in time’ to help us deliver our collective business goals. The same principle applies to learning. It is a journey designed to equip early careers joiners with the right skills and development, at just the moment they need it, supporting an accelerated pace of development.

 

We have pulled out all the stops to deliver a multi-layered learning journey that ensures our early careers joiners have access to the best-of-the-best in terms of resources and internal and external business experts, as well as invaluable peer-to-peer support, to help them thrive both on the programme and in their careers.

 

What kinds of learning do early careers joiners actually get?

Early careers joiners experience a blend of learning on the job, from others, and through formal training. This includes role rotations, learning through projects and assignments, peer-to-peer coaching, mentoring, business immersion sessions and skills masterclasses.

 

The journey is carefully crafted to build functional expertise, business acumen and leadership skills, with regular feedback throughout.

 

How do we help early talent shape their own learning path?

As an early career joiner, there will be a structured learning journey however, all early careers joiners are in the driving seat of their own development, supported by a network around them including their people manager, buddy, early careers SPOCs and their peers.

 

Early careers joiners have access to a wealth of resources to encourage self-reflection and proactive steps towards fulfilling their development goals.

Be curious and proactive. See every day as an opportunity to learn, embrace feedback, and make the most of your support network.

 

If you could bottle the Danone learning experience, what would be its secret ingredient?

The secret ingredient is the unique blend of high challenge and high care, we expect big things of our early careers joiners, but we have designed a learning framework that gives them every opportunity combined with a high level of support to succeed.

 

What’s one learning moment that totally changed how you think or work?

Coaching has been a hugely valuable learning experience for me personally, helping me self-reflect on a deeper level and providing me with some brilliant light bulb moments to work in a way that keeps me at my best.
