This position is within the Global Sustainability team based in Danone’s global headquarters in Paris (1 to 2 days/week in Rueil). 

 

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Human Rights team within the Global Sustainability  People & Communities function, supporting human rights due diligence across Danone, with a particular focus on shaping and advancing the company’s global strategy for communities affected by its activities. This position entails working across global teams (e.g. procurement, operations, human resources, legal, and public affairs) as well as Danone categories and CBUs.  You’ll join an international global team that is shaping the future of social sustainability at Danone in line with our mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible. 

This apprenticeship will enable you to learn the fundamentals of social and community action, deepen your knowledge on international sustainability frameworks (UN, ILO, OECD), and understand emerging social topics. Most of all you will learn how strategic community engagement can increase business success, strengthen Danone’s commercial resilience and improve our Social License to Operate 

 
YOUR MISSION AT DANONE: 

Within the Global Sustainability People & Communities team, this apprenticeship will take place in Paris (9th arrondissement) at the global headquarters, starting in September 2026. 

  • Research and Insight Building: You will contribute to research and analysis on business and human rights, notably on community and social impact topics, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify key insights, best practices, and emerging trends to inform Danone’s global Social & Communities strategy. 
  • Strategy support: You will actively support the structuring and roll-out of the global Social & Communities strategy, working closely with cross-functional and local teams to ensure strong framework implementation, aligned to international expectations and legal requirements. 
  • Content and Deliverables Creation: You will play a central role in creating high-quality strategic documents, presentations, communication materials, toolkits and trainings that support decision-making and internal upskilling. 
  • Monitoring and Follow-up: You will support the monitoring and follow-up of key initiatives, helping track progress, and consolidate feedback from local teams for continued improvement. 
  • Confidentiality: You will handle sensitive and strategic information with the highest level of discretion, and professionalism, in line with Danone’s standards and values

About you

You should be an enthusiastic self-starter who is organized, able to ask questions and challenge thinking, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. You are expected to have a business and human rights-oriented profile and a strong interest in sustainability globally and, ideally, the agri-food sector. 

You have: 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to listen well and communicate effectively. 
  • The ability to work autonomously, with excellent organizational skills and reliability. 
  • Openness to learn and ask questions. 
  • At ease with numbers to explore innovative ways to measure social outcomes. 
  • Discretion and maturity. 

Compulsory requirements: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in a relevant field (Business & Human rights, Social Impact, Responsible Supply ChainsInternational Development) 
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communications
