About the job

To lead the Strategic Insights and Analytics function for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), serving as a strategic business partner to marketing and sales. This role drives data-driven decision-making by integrating market intelligence, consumer insights, and advanced analytics to inform and challenge business strategy. The Head of Strategic Insights and Analytics ensures all initiatives are grounded in robust insights, supporting sustainable growth and competitive advantage for Danone in Sub-Saharan Africa.

About you

ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 10+ years’ experience in an insights, analytics, or strategy role (agency or manufacturer, preferably FMCG).
  • Proven experience in leading research projects and delivering actionable business insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, people-centric stories.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and regionally (multi-country experience is an advantage).
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Familiarity with South African and broader SSA consumer and retail landscapes is highly desirable
