About the job

The Senior Manager, Marketing & Sales Operations is a pivotal leader within the AFH Sales Team, responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting business growth, and enabling the sales team with the tools, data, and resources needed for success. This role acts as a key connector between internal teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Sales Enablement & Operations Leadership

    • Drive incremental funding and ensure clarity in spending to support business objectives, including delivering incremental volume and cost savings.
    • Enable the sales team with easy access to tools, data, and resources, capturing user engagement and identifying new opportunities.
    • Lead and manage special projects, team offsites, and the deployment of new cost-saving measures.
    • Serve as the “Chief of Staff” for all AFH-facing communications and act as the point of contact for new product launches and initiatives.

Strategic Planning & Execution

      • Develop and execute the annual plan for industry affairs, including events, partnerships, speaking engagements, and cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer leads and industry presence.
      • Foster a “1st Call” mentality across the organization, increasing internal awareness of AFH (Away From Home) needs and priorities.
      • Lead the AFH marketing calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all customer-facing activations and deliverables.

Budget & Systems Management

    • Own the budget planning process, including building incremental funding requests and assigning value to new initiatives.
    • Lead continuous improvement efforts for key systems and agency relationships (e.g., CSSI, MSA, Food IQ, Works, Blacktop, iTrade, One2One, GDSN, Blacksmith), driving incremental ROI and annual cost savings.

Team Leadership & Development

    • Directly lead and develop a team, including Customer Marketing Manager and Associate Manager Sales Operations, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
    • Delegate responsibilities as appropriate and support the professional growth of direct reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with CD&S, Brand, Category Leadership and agency partners to ensure accurate updates and alignment on key initiatives.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm, develop, and execute specialized toolkits and materials to support the sales strategy (e.g., Dysphasia Toolkit, Diabetes materials, channel-specific resources).

Operational Excellence

    • Maintain organizational structure updates and act as the go-to resource for internal queries.
    • Oversee the management and regular updates of the Away From Home SharePoint site and Digital Inven.
    • Coordinate quarterly team meetings and respond to sales “new customer” requests as needed.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options.
