About the Role: 

 

APM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team for a 10-months mission. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing Danone’s sustainability roadmap, aligned with the Danone Impact Journey and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)  , by driving the development of innovative fibre-based packaging solutions. 

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Contribute to a Cross-Functional Project: drive a project focused on packaging and product interactions (organoleptic, sensory and nutritional) for paper and cardboard materials. 

  • Project Management: track milestones and planning, and present progress updates to leadership teams. 

  • Technical Expertise: Define and carry-out characterization methods for packaging materials. 

  • Material Recommendations: Provide expert guidance on material selection. 

Additional Responsibilities & Collaboration 

  • Innovation & Research: Explore and evaluate new fibre-based materials in partnership with the Analytical Science department. 

  • Cross Functional Team Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to co-develop robust, end-to-end packaging solutions that integrate holistic constraints and performance requirements. 

  • Knowledge Sharing: Capture best practices, contribute to process improvement, and support knowledge transfer across Danone’s global and local teams. 

 

About you

We are looking for a talented, curious, and proactive engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Education: PhD or Master in Materials Science or chemistry (or equivalent) 

  • Experience: 2–3 years in a relevant role, ideally within packaging or materials development. 

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cellulosic and plastic materials, barrier properties, and analytical techniques (e.g., HS-SPME-GC-MS). 

  • Experience in pack/product interaction and migration studies is a plus. 

  • Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Project management, including strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. 

  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly across functions. 

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality results within deadlines. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build connections easily across teams and functions. 

  • Self-driven and proactive mindset, with a natural inclination to take initiative and move projects forward. 

  • Agile and adaptable, comfortable pivoting direction in response to evolving priorities or challenges. 

  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
