About the job

  • Ensure consistent Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) of all products delivered through the implementation of systems, procedures, food defence and suitable controls, within the frame of the performance driving system,
  • Ensure sufficient resource for the Food Safety Hazard control Plan leader so that the FSHCP can be created, implemented and governed,
  • Build and steer the Factory Quality Business Plan in accordance with the business needs to continuously improve Q&FS performance in all areas,
  • Ensure appropriate Quality Governance in all factory projects and adherence to risk assessment and other appropriate tools like change management,
  • Budget and Capex control for the department and active involvement in major site projects,
  • Translate the Specialized Nutrition (SN) and First Diet functional Q&FS Divisional strategy into a local functional strategy, taking into account legal, medical, and ethical requirements, and subsequently ensuring this is translated into an actionable plan,
  • Leads the site Q&FS function, ensuring Q&FS requirements of products and processes are set and met by developing and implementing systems and methods to ensure product requirements (label claim, nutritional and metabolic claims),
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, improving and reporting out of systems required to meet governmental, Danone and consumer requirements or legislation while maintaining support for registration in different countries,
  • Responsible for Q&FS supervising third parties,
  • Leads the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department,
  • Responsible for crisis Management within the plant according to the Danone requirements.

About you

  • MSc degree in food technology, pharmacy, biotechnology or related fields. PhD or postgraduate studies in one of the fields will be an asset,
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing quality, food manufacturing or regulatory related function in food, pharmaceutics, medical devices or biotechnology,
  • Knowledge of and experience with food safety and quality management systems in general and HACCP in particular,
  • Knowledge of food safety legislation and food safety issues,
  • Trained and experienced in auditing and project management,
  • TPM Environment experience/knowledge is an advantage (IWS is preferred),
  • People management experience together with well-developed coaching and mentoring skills,
  • Ability to manage change and transformations both in terms of processes and involving people,
  • An open-minded person who sees opportunities and possibilities,
  • Being able to engage, build open and trustful collaboration and communication with people on various levels of organization as well as with external stakeholders,
  • Demonstrate agility in critical thinking and risk assessment,
  • Take accountability and make decisions based on facts and data,
  • Strong resilience to be able to deal with changing prioritization and with pressure,
  • Strong communication and presentation skills,
  • Polish and English skills, fluent in speaking and writing.
