Danone Türkiye is looking for a talented colleague for the "Senior Warehouse Operations Manager" position. Take this opportunity to GROW together!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Warehousing Operations Manager, Specialized Nutrition (SN) , to lead Danone Türkiye’s warehousing operations and oversee the performance of our warehousing service providers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, cost efficiency, and service levels, while leading the warehousing strategy and execution across the SN business.
In this role you will;
- Collaborate closely with Transportation, Customer Service, Procurement, Production, Quality, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless and efficient warehousing operations.
- Lead warehousing activities across Turkey SN operations, ensuring operational excellence, service continuity, and compliance with Danone standards.
- Develop and implement warehousing and logistics strategies covering inbound and outbound logistics, storage operations, inventory management, customs activities, value-added services, and KPI governance to support business objectives while delivering a cost-effective service model.
- Manage and optimize both third-party logistics providers and Danone-operated warehouse facilities located in Istanbul (Tuzla, Gebze, and overflow warehouses when required), ensuring operational efficiency, capacity optimization, and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives by identifying and implementing cost-saving projects across the end-to-end logistics and warehousing network.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve operational performance through robust KPI tracking, performance reviews, and action planning.
- Lead warehouse budget planning and control processes, ensuring cost discipline, accurate forecasting, and delivery of D2D controllable cost targets.
- Manage warehouse-related expenditures and proactively identify opportunities to enhance cost competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure effective inventory management practices, including stock accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation of system variances, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with Danone Safety, Quality, and regulatory standards across all warehousing and logistics operations.
- Optimize people, processes, resources, and technologies to continuously improve productivity, service levels, and operational performance.
- Oversee pallet pooling operations and related asset management activities to ensure operational effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Champion customer satisfaction by delivering high service levels and driving initiatives aimed at eliminating warehouse-related customer complaints.
- Lead product return operations and effectively resolve operational disputes and claims in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage logistics and warehousing projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and sustainable business impact.
- Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements while promoting best practices throughout the operation.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehousing environments.
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Solid experience in warehouse and inventory management, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing Third-Party Logistics (3PL) / Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) is highly preferred.
- Strong capabilities in workforce planning and manpower management, ensuring optimal resource allocation and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and execution capabilities, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- High resilience and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel when required.
