Talent Acquisition Specialist (Plant)

About the job

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment for Danone Japan Tatebayashi Factory. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role primarily leads high-volume recruitment for factory operators, and supports a broad range of hiring needs, including temporary staff, high school and college new graduates, and staff‑ to manager‑level positions.

The role works closely with on‑site leaders and hiring managers to ensure recruitment activities are closely aligned with operational realities on the factory floor. As part of a global organization, the position operates within global frameworks and processes, while remaining strongly grounded in hands‑on, plant‑level talent acquisition. This is a primarily on‑site role and plays a key part in building a stable and sustainable workforce for manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle for plant‑based roles, from role intake and sourcing strategy through offer and hire.
  • Lead high‑volume hiring for manufacturing operators, ensuring speed, quality, and consistency in hiring outcomes.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies, using a mix of job boards, referrals, direct sourcing, recruitment agencies, local networks, events, and other creative avenues.
  • Think beyond standard recruitment channels, actively exploring new and alternative ways to attract talent based on market trends and hiring results.
  • Create and maintain compelling Japanese‑language recruitment content, tailored to different candidate segments.
  • Partner closely with plant stakeholders to understand workforce needs and translate them into practical hiring approaches.
  • Track and manage candidates through the recruitment process using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Continuously assess hiring outcomes and adjust sourcing and recruitment strategies based on market conditions and performance.
