Lead the US Third Party Manufacturing (“3PM” or “CoMan”) team within assigned Beverage & Plant Based category. Train and develop and provide appropriate oversight for the US 3PM team to deliver on annual objectives and commitments to the function and the enterprise.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives related to identification, selection, negotiation and management of 3PMs within assignment.
  • Lead the Beverage team including the 3 team members.
  • Develop and drive $300M+ Beverage Network Procurement strategy & implementation.
  • Develop and implement 3PM Sustainability strategy and roadmap to meet 1.5O SBTI targets across NORAM portfolio with the assistance of the full 3PM NORAM team.
  • Drive cross category collaboration within NORAM as well as with the Global 3PM community.
  • Improve Global 3PM best practice sharing, productivity acceleration & maturation of 3PM processes including cost benchmarking, should costing & competitive analysis.
  • Develop strategic relationships consistent with Danone “One Planet, One Health” and B-Corp values.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&I, Quality, Finance and Business Units by providing insights on current capabilities, manufacturing site potential, and economic feasibility.
  • Provide supply market intelligence including conducting market studies to identify new 3PMs and develop a robust supplier base. Lead initiatives as assigned, including contract optimization and transition to full service relationships.
  • Manage budget and productivity initiatives including managing overall spend, analyzing pricing, tolling, full service packaging and ingredient pass through, managing budgets and tracking variances.
  • Collaborate with 3PM colleagues, Businesses and Supply Chain on growth and innovation initiatives, product launches, line extensions and discontinuations, etc.
  • Collaborate with legal on contract negotiation and drafting and execution, including scope, quality, time and cost of service and other contract terms and conditions.
  • Comply with all Danone Cycles & Procurement supplier selection and procurement policies.
  • Must build relationships cross-functionally and have effective communication skills to create a “teamwork” focused environment while positively influencing stakeholders.
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting escalations on service and production, logistics and warehousing or transportation issues or opportunities; working to resolve quality issues, and financial renumeration.

The salary range for this position is $166,000-239,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. This role is considered a “hybrid” position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.

About you

Education and Experience (Requirements):

Experience specified must include each of the following:

  • 10 years of experience with third party manufacturing and supply chain related to beverage and packaging;
  • 10 years of experience working in a cross functional and multicultural environment;
  • 10 years of experience developing and implementing product strategies and initiatives;
  • 10 years of experience with procurement policies and guidelines;  
  • 10 years of experience with process centralization, budget control, cost reduction, and contract negotiation;
  • 10 years of expereince with Strategic Sourcing methodology and developing long term category strategies;
  • 5 years of expereince with SAP;
  • 5 years of experience with people management;
  • Experience driving automation using PowerBI and AI tools

  • Travel - Up to 15% (primarily North America)
