About the Role

 

At Danone, we are currently seeking an Assistant Brand Manager to join our marketing team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. In this role, you will support the delivery of brand strategy, innovation, and activation across our portfolio.

 

Reporting to a Senior Brand Manager, this position offers an excellent opportunity to build end‑to‑end brand management experience within a purpose‑led FMCG organisation. You will contribute to key brand initiatives including innovation and renovation projects, campaign execution, social media activation, and performance analysis, working closely with cross‑functional teams and agency partners.

 

This role is ideal for an early‑career marketer who is eager to learn, take ownership of projects, and grow within a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Brand Performance & Budget Management

  • Track brand performance across key KPIs including sales, penetration, share, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Support monthly reporting and performance reviews.
  • Manage brand A&P spend versus forecast on a monthly basis.

Market, Consumer & Competitor Analysis

  • Develop a solid understanding of the category, consumer and shopper trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyse competitor activity and new product developments.
  • Support product tastings and monitor product superiority and quality KPIs.

Innovation & Project Management

  • Support innovation, renovation, and productivity projects from concept testing through to launch.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional project timelines across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality.
  • Support packaging design and artwork processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with excellence.

Campaign Execution & Activation

  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across in‑store, digital, social media, events, and sampling.
  • Assist with development and execution of social media and influencer activities.
  • Measure campaign performance and contribute to post‑campaign learnings and recommendations.

Agency & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies (creative, media, shopper, research).

Support preparation of materials for key business meetings such as range reviews, QBRs, and innovation forums.

About you

About You

 

You are a hands‑on FMCG marketer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys turning ideas into action. Confident stepping into a 12‑month fixed‑term role, you are comfortable taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and delivering impact from day one.

 

You will bring:

  • 1–3 years’ marketing experience in FMCG, with the agility to work at pace and manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting or leading brand campaigns, innovation or renovation projects, and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Events management exposure, including planning and executing brand or consumer activations.
  • The ability to lead social media activity end‑to‑end, combining creative storytelling with effective agency management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using market data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI) to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
