The Strategic Insights & Analytics team partners with brand teams and across the business to assess business performance and identify future sources of growth rooted in consumer insights. This entails quantifiably understanding current trends and looking around the corner to predict future trends.
The role:
•Conducts consumer research to understand the landscape of needs, demand spaces, and occasions
•Keeps a finger on the pulse of the business and bring the right data, analytics, and insights to enable agility in strategic and tactical course correction
•Contributes to a culture of effectiveness through impact-based performance management of ourselves and competition with precision
•Builds analytics to size future consumer value pools using foresights and occasion data and diagnose our ability to attract switchers and new users from outside the category.
•Evaluates our right to win through brand equity and brand health, consumer behavior, and path to purchase
We answer the questions: “Did we do what we said we would do? Did we execute as expected? Did it deliver as expected? Where were we wrong? What do we need to do differently?”.
Competencies
•Be the voice of consumer, generating fact-based insights and incorporating them across all aspects of the business, including but not limited to brand strategy, communication strategy, creative development, innovation, product, and packaging, along with in-market assessment
•Develop and execute qualitative and quantitative research plans with some autonomy grounded in understanding of the business challenges and opportunities
•Hands-on experience with Nielsen/Circana POS/Retail Sales data source; Kantar or other household panel source; Loyalty Card Data; Shopper mission/behavior studies; and Market Mix Modeling.
•Influence brand teams and the cross-functional team members by actively and persuasively representing the consumer and marketplace dynamics to inform business strategies and tactics
•Integrate and triangulate data and insight from multiple sources (primary, secondary, and syndicated) to drive holistic business recommendations and strategy development
•Actively participate and provide thought leadership, not only research and related issues
•Collaborate with other functional leads to ensure consumer understanding and insight is integrated with the needs of all constituencies (e.g., R&D, Creative, Sales, Advertising and Media Agencies, etc.)
The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $115,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. Experience
•3+ years of experience in consumer insights, analytics, or consulting experience. Consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
•B.S./B.A. (required) Marketing, Business, or related field
•M.S./MBA (preferred) in Marketing, Business, or related field
