BRAND MANAGER (6 Months Fixed Term Contract)

About the job

To take responsibility for growing the brand equity and Danone’s presence in the market, within the Mainstream portfolio. Ultimate measures of success will be the profitable launch of new products and the sustainable growth of the brands in the portfolio.

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Business Management
• Monitor Mainstream’s portfolio sales performance (volume, value, profitability) & drive internal engagement around brand growth ambitions.
• Understand Mainstream’s brand and business value drivers and recommend data-based choices to allocate resources.
• Own Mainstream’s brand P&L and drive bold, data-based decisions to deliver sustainable and profitable brand growth.


2. Craft Brands
• Use consumer insights and brand understanding to identify meaningful tensions that the brands can address.
• Create a list of potential platforms and recommend the right mix to deliver brand growth.• Combine an understanding of business objectives and strategic positioning to develop the right local mix of activation ideas to make the brands relevant.


3. Innovation
• Identify high-potential growth opportunities through consumer insights, market trends, and data analysis.
• Develop new products, packaging, and consumer experiences that strengthen brand equity.
• Implement research testing methodologies to optimise concepts and offerings.
• Lead innovation projects from concept to launch - driving product input and proposition development.
• Manage innovation P&L with finance and understand the manufacturing and industrial processes to assist in providing accurate information to R&D, and the successful implementation of project execution and marketing initiatives.
• Support trade marketing in the successful implementation of brand plans, product launches, relaunches, packaging changes, and other marketing initiatives.


4. Unlock Media & touchpoint opportunities
• Create the right conditions for partner and agency collaboration and use great storytelling techniques to transform a factual brief into an inspiring story.
• Brief and provide constructive feedback on creative ideas.
• Ensure creative executions are contextually relevant and will contribute to key brand growth drivers.

 

5. Digital
• Source and leverage relevant data to personalise content for key consumer segments and target markets.
• Drive qualified leads, conversions, and meaningful consumer actions.
• Understands the consumer digital journey and develops effective digital media plans across channels.

• Manage digital communities and influencer partnerships for brands.


6. Consumer insight
• Take responsibility to personally listen and connect with people and know when and how to brief to gather the data they need.
• Convert data from different sources to unlock insights for growth.
• Translate key growth insights into clear brand actions and priorities.


7. Agency Management
• Develop clear and inspiring briefs based on business priorities and consumer insights to enable agency partners to deliver effective strategies and plans.
• Ensure the right content reaches the right audience at the right time through the most effective touchpoints, while identifying new engagement opportunities.
• Analyse brand performance across touchpoints, identify cross-channel opportunities, and challenge agency partners to provide timely recommendations when course correction is required.


8. Marketing Expense
• Manage the daily monitoring and processing of marketing-related expenses.
• Manage the budget for their portfolio.
• Monitor and report on monthly and annual marketing budget and expenses.
• Attend the monthly meeting to give feedback on the budget tracker.
• Give input, where applicable, into the budget setting process.

About you

ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field

 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 4-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in FMCG
• Proven experience in launching multiple innovations from concept to launch
• Strong understanding of P&L management and ROI analysis
• Proven presentation skills
• Project Management skills
• Proven ability to develop strong working relationships
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
