Join Danone, a global leader in health-focused food and specialised nutrition
Lead CAPEX sourcing across major manufacturing and investment projects in Australia and New Zealand
Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to drive value, innovation, and business growth
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute CAPEX Procurement Manager to join our Cycles & Procurement team.
This is a newly created role responsible for leading end-to-end CAPEX procurement activities across Danone's ANZ manufacturing network. You will play a critical role in supporting capital investment projects, from initial business case development through to supplier selection, contracting, execution, and value realisation.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Cycles & Procurement APAC, with a dotted-line relationship to the Head of Cycles & Procurement ANZ, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust sourcing strategies, optimise costs, and ensure successful project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead CAPEX procurement activities across ANZ manufacturing sites and projects, developing sourcing strategies for process equipment, packaging lines, utilities, automation and digital systems in line with business requirements, project objectives and procurement priorities.
Develop and execute sourcing plans for major capital purchases, identifying suitable suppliers, assessing market conditions and determining appropriate procurement approaches to achieve competitive commercial outcomes.
Manage competitive tender and RFQ processes, including preparation and review of commercial requirements, coordination of supplier submissions, evaluation of pricing and commercial proposals, and recommendation of preferred suppliers.
Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, covering pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery requirements, contractual obligations, variations and other commercial conditions, and support the progression of agreements through to purchase order execution.
Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to establish procurement requirements, validate supplier proposals, align sourcing activities with project timelines and ensure procurement inputs support business case and capital approval processes.
Provide procurement input into CAPEX planning and governance, including cost analysis, supplier benchmarking, investment assumptions, procurement risks, project milestones and required approvals.
Manage supplier relationships throughout the procurement lifecycle, monitoring delivery performance, commercial compliance, quality, contractual commitments and responsiveness, and addressing issues or performance concerns as required.
Track procurement outcomes and project spend, identifying opportunities for cost avoidance, commercial savings and improved purchasing outcomes while maintaining appropriate controls over scope changes, supplier variations and expenditure.
Maintain procurement documentation and records, ensuring sourcing decisions, commercial evaluations, contracts, purchase orders and supplier information are appropriately documented and readily available for governance, compliance and audit requirements.
Monitor procurement risks and market developments relevant to CAPEX categories and proactively identify alternative suppliers, sourcing opportunities and commercial strategies to support continuity of supply and project delivery.
