CDI- Development Manager Caps and Closures systems - (H/F)

About the job

Under the Responsibility of the Senior Manager Bottles and Closures systems Technologies your main missions will be:

  • Manage innovation projects of plastic closures for our brands in the bottled water, beverages, fresh dairy products, and plant-based protein products categories.
  • Define functional specifications based on consumer preference criteria.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to local R&D teams and cross-functional multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s packaging strategy.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and industry associations to foster collaboration and standardization.
  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and advancements in materials and technologies in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for packaging performance, environmental footprint, and costs.
  • Develop and deliver training modules to local teams.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a culture of technical expertise, innovation, and excellence.
  • Document and communicate project progress, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.  

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or Master’s in Packaging Industry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 7-10 years in positions related to the design, development, and implementation of plastic closures in the food and beverage industry, although other sectors will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving applied to the development or implementation of plastic closures.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong experience in functional specifications definition based on consumer needs and technical constraints.
  • Solid knowledge of plastic closures production technologies and capping processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions leveraging internal and external expertise.
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with others, valuing diverse perspectives, and fostering a cooperative team environment.
  • Knowledge of best practices regarding sustainability and food contact packaging regulations.
  • Risk analysis conducting practices.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within global cross-functional team environment.
  • Fluent in English and French.
