At Danone, our commitment to manufacturing the highest quality products and meeting market demand is a fundamental driver for our plant teams. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our Engineering Central team.

In this role, you will be part of the Central engineering team and be responsible for supporting strategic, operational, and policy-related aspects of the various Dairy sites in France, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives. You will be responsible for multiple capital projects across plants, overseeing technical execution, timeline management, and financial oversight for each project.

Around 60% travel to the different Dairy sites in France is expected as part of the role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project execution of projects up to 1-2 M€ or part of complex scope project (Processing, Packaging, Building and Utility)
• Work with Engineering Manager to align on project priorities and budget for each project
• Work with CAPEX controller to manage the capital forecast and execution
• Coordinate and lead cross functional team
• Create, design and evaluate initial call for tender documents with the Engineering Manager
• Work with Regional Engineering teams during bidding processes and technical alignment
• Work with the CAPEX procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations
• Travel required occasionally for training or plant projects.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience and working knowledge in:
  • Integrated automation and controls technology
  • High speed packaging systems design
  • Dairy process engineering and PMO
  • Manufacturing plant utility systems
• Must be organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent projects
• Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend or late shifts, during installation/startup periods

Experience and Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science or relevant degree from an accredited College or University
• 3 years of relevant Engineering experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing
• fluency in English and French
