About the job

To grow the category and gain share, the role of the Country Development Manager is to further accelerate our business locally through high performing teams (sales, medical marketing, planning, finance…) in full coordination with our local partners by:

  • Developing and growing the business in line with corporate guidelines and strategies by planning and executing marketing, medical and sales plans.
  • Managing, developing and supervising sales, medical and marketing team in a cross-functional environment
  • Developing partnerships with key retailers, KOLs, HCPs & medical institutions, as well as our distributors in the relevant country.
  • Prepare the future to enter in new categories and to further strengthen our Go-To-Market strategy

Your key responsibility is driving the country market share and sales via:

1. clearing the Sales, medical and marketing team.

  • manager and continuously improve the day-to-day operations, routing, detail aids and personal development of medical team and ensure that their focus is in line with corporate strategies
  • monitoring all resources needed (people and investments)
  • Set sales, distribution and executional KPIs & follow up with distributors sales team and merchandisers to ensure weekly KPIs are being met and the product availability and visibility are up to standards
  • Implement DAN Affiliate program (distributors management program and RTM efficiencies) > Continuous assessment
  • clearing and developing the sales and medical team in collaboration with HRD and medical director
  • Design long-term business strategy with the support of several team (distributors locally, Team and CAT Team)
  • Design and follow up action plan to achieve business objectives
  • collaboration very closely with our operations team (Planning and customer service) to ensure having the right locally stock availability based on a clear and aligned Sales forecast 

2. Setting & Monitoring budgets.

  • Setting and monitoring budgets (Trade Support, A&P, FOC, Bonus, etc) to be spent in the country. Evaluation of the ROI for the spendings and focusing on the efficiency

3. Joint Business Planning.

  • Assess and understand the shopper, distributors, retailers, HCPs, KOLs, channels, competition
  • Drive and build long term plans and align & work cross functional in a 3-year scope to reach the long-term targets set together with CODI
  • Plan, prioritize and execute all the initiatives during the year with the support of the team and readjust when needed

4. Developing & maintaining the business relationship with distributors.

Maintain and reinforce good relationship with distributors. Close monitoring of the Joint Business Plan. Operational follow-up to ensure payments, operations and logistics problems are timely resolved. Design and implement the right way of working and RACI between Nutricia Worldwide and the distributors. This required a very detail follow-up (operations) as well a very strategic understanding to engage the main external and internal stakeholders

 

 

5. Product Registration & Customs clearance

Develop and maintained relationship with relevant departments in distributors & MOH officials (directly or indirectly) to ensure that all existing SKU’s and all new product introductions are registered with MOH (if required) and are ready to launch

6. Ordering & Stock levels.

Setting & monitoring of stock levels and order schedules to ensure proper stock levels are being maintained all year long by focusing on the sell-out (locally sales) and perfect collaboration with Nutricia Export Supply Chain Department

7. Regulatory / Market Access / LGU’s

Develop and maintained strong relationship with MOH and their stakeholders as well as private institutions to ensure that Nutricia’s business interests are represented

About you

These are some experience & technical knowledge that you have to meet:

  • Fluent in Filipino and English is an absolute must in this position as well as good knowledge of the local market in Philippines.
  • You have an MBA in Marketing/Business and/or a BSc. in Business Management/Medical.
  • 4-6 years previous experience working for a larger/similar Medical/FMCG/Blue Chip Company in a sales/medical sales management position
  • You have a solid understanding of theoretical and practical application of the Category. Negotiating comes naturally to you and due to your commercial awareness, you are capable of, and enjoy the challenge of, closing a good deal.
  • Furthermore, you have an entrepreneurial attitude which enables you to recognize and seize business opportunities. And with your thorough medical knowledge, experience and understanding you can assess, analyse and build new medical and sales strategies.
  • distributors management experience with Key account management capabilities (preferably in Pharmacy chains)
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional environment is a plus.
  • Perfect management of Excel and ppt
