About the Role

As a Customs Analyst, you will support customs and trade compliance activities across Danone’s European operations, with a particular focus on the Plant-Based category. Working alongside experienced customs professionals and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant movement of goods across international borders.
This position is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of customs experience or a strong interest in launching a career in customs and trade compliance. You’ll join a dynamic and supportive team, gaining exposure to various business categories while developing your analytical and technical skills.

 

Key Responsibilities
As member of the EU Customs & Trade Compliance team, your main tasks will include:

  • Assist in the governance of customs procedures for Danone’s European operations, with a focus on the Plant-Based category.
  • Support the team in maintaining customs compliance across import/export activities.
  • Collaborate with customs colleagues to gather and analyze data, identify trends, and support reporting needs.
  • Help monitor regulatory changes and support the implementation of necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, especially in data analysis and process optimization.
  • Maintain documentation and support audits or inquiries from customs authorities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., logistics, supply chain, finance) to ensure customs-related processes are aligned and efficient.

About you

To be successful in this role, we believe you need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in customs or trade compliance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data.
  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Power BI and VBA is a strong asset.
  • SAP ERP knowledge is an asset
  • Curious and eager to learn about customs and international trade.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other languages are a plus.
